Proposal improving the efficiency of airconditioners
Let's curb global warming / Challenge to reduce CO2 emissions
Super condenser “Spacon”
The benefits of introducing Spacon
The outdoor units of air conditioners and refrigerators may not have
the initial performance due to the deterioration of the condenser by over time.
In addition, the environment has become harsher due to climate change in recent years, and coolers are often being operated at overcapacity.
By installing Spacon, the refrigerant is sufficiently liquefied,
air conditioning efficiency is improved, and the following effects
can be expected.
- Reduction of power consumption (reduction of CO2 emissions)
- Improved cooling capacity
- Prolonging the life of the outdoor unit
Air conditioner doesn't work!
As the aluminum fins of the outdoor unit deteriorate over time, they are no longer able to dissipate sufficient heat and the air conditioner's performance declines.
- When first installed the aluminum fins are not deteriorated and they work at ''design capacity"
- Deterioration of aluminum fins due
to exhaust gas, salt damage, etc.
Spacon helps condensers with reduced capacity
Spacon
The efficiency of refrigeration cycle is improved by only attaching SPACON to the outdoor unit.
Spacon‘s effect seen by thermography (during cooling operation)
The refrigerant dissipated and cooled by the outdoor unit‘s heat exchanger shows 41℃.
The heat is further dissipated to 36.7℃ via spacon.

NTT Communications
In order to operate the air conditioning equipment efficiently, it is important to improve the efficiency of the outdoor unit. NTT Communications has introduced super condenser, a device that enhances the heat dissipation effect of outdoor units and improves the cooling efficiency of air conditioning equipment, therefore improves the efficiency of air conditioning equipment.
From June to July 2003, 43 super condensers were introduced as trial at 7 locations, and as a result, the power saving effect was that the power consumption was reduced by 13.8% and the blowout temperature was reduced by 9.2%. To date, 440 super condensers have been installed.
Improvement rate of current consumption and indoor blowout temperature when super condenser is introduced
Application proposal [Chiller]
Chillers generally circulate at a supply water temperature of 7℃ and a return water temperature of 12℃.
Spacon returns the water temperature that has risen due to deterioration of the condenser to normal.
New Refrigerant
- Retro-fit
- Replace
- R22 with HB156
R410A with HB266
HB156/HB266 is a newly developed refrigerant
- improve efficiency of Air conditioner
Reduce operating pressure
Reduced compressor load reduces power consumption
As well as prolonging the compressor’s life
HB156(Alternative refrigerant to R22)
HB156 is a refrigerant jointly developed and patented with AIST.

Construction example (Spacon+HB156)
(HB266 Alternative refrigerant to R410A)
Non-flammable refrigerant that reduces GWP and can be operated at low pressure
